Football, or as I know it, soccer, appears to be the only remaining professional sport which does not allow match-time video evidence to get calls right. Video evidence, in fact, is not just used in American football and indeed not just in American sports. Hawk-Eye ball triangulation systems have been used in professional tennis and cricket matches from as early as 2001. Replay is used to resolve game-clock disputes in professional basketball all around the world. MLB professional baseball uses replay to verify home runs. Rugby league and union, field hockey, motor sports and horse racing all use some sort of video evidence. Even professional bull riding uses it!
