Friday Love: Borough Market
Borough Market is one of the three reasons one should ever venture south of the Thames River (the other two being to see a film at BFI Southbank or to visit any of your friends who happen to live all the way down there). Borough Market is not that far away from wherever you live and you will be rewarded with Spanish chorizo sandwiches, enormous strawberries, hot apple cider, perfectly ripe avocados 7-for-a-pound and brownies the size of your face. You’ll also get random free samples of almonds and cheese, plus the occasional impromptu live musical performance. Last time I was in the “beers of the world” stall I spotted packs of Terrapin beer, a local Athens, GA favorite made it all the way across the pond!
