The guys did a sweet layout and design job for the article I contributed for their new mag. Yeah boy!
So last night was the launch of our first periodical at Look Mum No Hands. We had a great turnout, loads of bikes were locked up outside (along with most of the people—London is having the best weather this past few days) and loads of people had their hands on the newspaper.
Everyone piled in though when we started our game of Bingo, tickets were near enough sold out for it and everyone was poised with their felt–tipped pens and personal dabbers. We had a bit of trouble with the big screen and the laptop, so we had to do it the old fashioned way—we got a lovely assistant to draw numbers from a hat (a plate), as George called the numbers out I typed them in on screen and held it up like your favourite lady–Boxing–round–announcer.
It went down to the wire—after a couple of Bingo shouts for the rows (and a couple more after) it was all eyes on the main prize! Two people got the house on the last number, so the only way to settle was a classic bout of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The fine young lady was triumphant (sorry, I didn’t catch your name!) and Ted even signed his work after for her.
A top night all round, thanks to everyone that came out, bought a ticket or a shirt and enjoyed the tomfoolery. Big thanks going out to Perki from DP and Ty from TFD for traveling so far. You can view the PDF online here, but chances are Gav and I are coming to a city near you (in the UK) this week so eyes down for a paper. Also information about Issue 2 coming very soon.
Peace!
